The same job can cost different amounts at different properties because the substrate, access, old finish, materials and schedule affect the scope of work. If the job consists of several stages, such as demolition, plasterboard work, tiling, parquet installation and painting, it makes sense to request a quote for the complete project. This makes it easier to establish the work sequence and avoid having to reopen or protect a newly finished surface for the next stage.
