What does a complete apartment renovation include?
RK Meistrid OÜ manages the work stages from preparation and demolition to final finishing and handover. You do not need to find separate contractors or organise their work sequence yourself. A complete apartment renovation brings construction and finishing work together into one coherent plan. The service scope depends on the apartment's condition, your wishes and the agreed work. The following stages are possible works, not automatic components of every quote.
Site inspection and defining the scope of work
We review the apartment's condition, dimensions, your wishes and the surfaces to retain. We agree on the desired level of completion and work boundaries.
Required demolition
We remove the agreed old finishes and required structures. Before altering walls, we establish their purpose, the locations of utilities and the need for a design or approvals.
Waste removal and disposal
We agree on waste sorting, removal and compliant disposal, as well as protection of the work area and shared spaces.
Partition construction and plasterboard work
We build the agreed partitions, frames and plasterboard ceilings. Drywall work is planned together with wiring, pipes and penetrations.
Electrical and plumbing work
We arrange the required electrical and plumbing work through appropriately qualified partners. Their scope, responsibilities and timing are defined before finishing work.
Bathroom and WC renovation
We agree on the wet-room renovation scope, equipment locations, substrate restoration and installation of sanitary fittings.
Waterproofing and tiling
We prepare suitable substrates and slopes, carry out the agreed waterproofing and tiling work, following the instructions for the system used.
Wall and ceiling finishing
We repair, fill, sand and prime the surfaces and carry out painting work. If desired, we can also agree on wallpapering.
Floor covering installation
We check substrate suitability and moisture conditions. We install the agreed parquet, laminate or other floor covering; see also our flooring service.
Internal doors, mouldings and finishing details
We install the internal doors, mouldings and other finishing elements specified in the quote and complete the joints.
Final inspection and handover
We check completion of the agreed work and review the result together with you. Where necessary, we clarify corrections, maintenance and warranty terms.
The work list also specifies materials, waste removal and installations. Kitchen furniture, furnishings and appliances are included in the renovation only by separate agreement. Demolition work is assessed for necessity and safe scope before starting.

Refresh renovation
Suitable when the apartment layout and building services meet your needs and you want to update existing surfaces. We focus on repairs, painting or wallpapering walls and ceilings and, where necessary, replacing flooring and skirting boards.
Complete renovation and major refurbishment
Suitable when the apartment needs a thorough update. Major apartment refurbishment may include demolition, new partitions, changes to electrical and plumbing systems, bathroom renovation and complete interior finishing.

How does turnkey renovation work?
RK Meistrid OÜ coordinates the agreed work stages, material logistics and partners' schedules. You have a shared work plan and a clear contact for discussing the work.
Enquiry
Send the apartment location, floor area, desired work and, if possible, photos or a plan. Include your expected start date.
Site inspection
We assess the condition, dimensions, access and technical needs. We also establish the conditions for working in the apartment building.
Quote
We prepare a quote based on the agreed work and materials. We specify the level of completion and which works are included.
Work planning
We arrange the stage sequence, material procurement and deliveries as agreed. Partners' work and drying times are included in the schedule.
Execution
We carry out the agreed construction and finishing work and keep you informed of progress. We notify you of hidden damage or necessary changes; the scope and price of additional work are agreed before it is carried out.
Quality inspection
We check substrates and stage results before covering them with subsequent layers, and inspect the final finishes.
Handover
We review the completed work with you, record any necessary corrections and explain maintenance and the agreed warranty terms.
We prepare the schedule for the specific scope of work. Material lead times, drying and circumstances discovered during demolition may affect it. We discuss possible changes with you.
Apartment renovation cost
Apartment renovation cost cannot be reliably calculated from floor area alone. Apartments of the same size may need either new finishes or removal of old fittings, substrate restoration and updates to building services.

- Demolition scope: surfaces and structures to remove, waste volume and access.
- Changes to electrical and plumbing systems: connection locations, condition of existing systems and extent of the update.

Our renovation price list gives indicative starting prices for individual works. A whole-apartment quote specifies work quantities and materials separately; the unit price of an individual task is not the price per m² for complete apartment renovation.

We plan materials and work stages as one coherent whole
Building services before finishing
Before closing the walls, we confirm electrical points, pipework, ventilation and equipment locations. The necessary tests and checks are carried out before covering. This avoids having to open new paint, wallpaper or tiles later to access connections.
Drying times are part of the schedule
Drying of fillers, levelling compounds, waterproofing and adhesives depends on the product and site climate. Hardened concrete may not be dry enough for flooring. The start of the next stage is confirmed according to the instructions and, where needed, moisture measurements.
Materials and quote boundaries
We select paints, flooring and wet-room systems suited to the room's use. The quote specifies materials, quantities, waste removal, protection and handover. Unexpected substrate damage is assessed before additional work is carried out; the client's choices and changes are recorded in the agreement.
To prepare your enquiry: Include room dimensions and photos, a list of desired work and any known building-services problems. Indicate whether the apartment will remain in use during renovation and which furniture needs to be retained.

How long does a complete apartment renovation take?
The duration depends on the apartment's condition and the scope of work. The schedule accounts for demolition, building services, substrate drying, material deliveries and final finishing. We prepare an indicative schedule after inspecting the site and update it together with you if changes arise.
Can I live in the apartment during renovation?
When refreshing a single room, this may be possible if the work area can be separated. During a complete renovation, dust, noise and water or electricity interruptions make living there difficult. We discuss room use and the need for temporary accommodation before work starts.
Do you also arrange electrical and plumbing work?
Yes, where needed, we arrange electrical and plumbing work through appropriately qualified partners. The quote specifies the scope, responsibilities and timing. These works are not automatically included in every renovation quote.
Can the client choose the materials?
Yes. We help assess whether the chosen materials suit the room's use and substrates. We agree on what you will buy and what we will supply, and account for deliveries when planning the work. Later material changes may affect the price and schedule.
Do you also carry out smaller apartment renovations?
Yes, alongside complete renovations, we can agree on a refresh, a single room or an individual work stage. Describe the work you want and include photos so we can assess the right solution and scope.
How is the final quote determined?
The quote is based on the site inspection, agreed work list, measurements, materials and desired level of completion. We specify which work and costs are included. Extra work arising from hidden damage and changes you request are agreed separately before they are carried out.
Can renovation be carried out in stages?
Yes, if the technical work sequence and use of the apartment allow it. We help choose sensible stages so that later work does not damage finished surfaces. Renovating in several stages may require repeated preparation and affect the total cost and schedule.
What warranty applies to the work?
RK Meistrid OÜ provides a 3-year warranty on work carried out by the company, according to the agreed scope and terms. The work covered by the warranty and maintenance instructions are specified in the agreement. Responsibility and warranty terms for partners' work are defined separately.
